On this same thread, I first test "drove" a miata in a restaurant
parking lot in Japan (I didn't have an international license).  What I
found interesting was that compared to Canada (I don't know about the
U.S. -- can someone comment?) Japanese Miatas can be ordered with
options (standard?) that are only available here as the "special
edition" (e.g.: wood shifter knob, parking brake handle).
