Hi, I'm new to the mailing list and was wondering if any
of the Miata owners have satisfying sounding bass (booming/punchy)
from installing a new stereo system.

I have a 8" bazooka tube (in the trunk) with a
ADS (225 watt) power amp. I left the factory stereo in, and have
replaced the front factory speakers with Boston Acoustic 5 1/4".
I want the car to look as "plain" as possible to deter thefts.

Sound quality is "loud" but not as punchy as I would like. One possible
reason is because of the gas tank "absorbing" the bass. I would
appreciate any suggestions on how to get a more bassie sounding system from
my car without taking up the limited trunk space.
