Hi Herb & Miataians .. I have notice no change in the structure/stability of the front end & suspension of my car .. I purchased it in Sept of '89. My friend & I have been under the car MANY times, because we o all of our own work. Since I autocross in CSP, we have had the front suspension apart quite a few times to install the swaybar, shocks, springs etc etc .. and on my budget .. these were all done on separate occasions. Last evening we installed a new clutch. I elected to go with the stock clutch disc and used the Eunos Roadster pressure plate ( clutch cover) and of course a new thro out bearing. The stock U.S. Miata pressure plate has a 410kgm rating ... the Eunos Roadster has a 510kgm rating.. so it should give better performance. My friend said that i would regret that we didnt install a "dual friction" clutch with the new pressure plate.. I assured him that "we" would be putting in another clutch 'in the near future" ANYWAY ...it took us ~4hrs total. 2hrs out & 2hrs in. The next time we will be able to do it in 3hrs or less. We didnt remove the tranny, the way that the Shop Manual suggetsted ..it would have taken 5hrs, THEN .. and we also saw some other short cuts as we were putting the baby back together.BUT.. in the haste/excitment to get the job done .. I forgot to order Redline MTL
