My miata has the Mazda 6 CD changer in the trunk,
and it works great.  The only problem is now I have
this cable and button box flapping around in the car
all the time.

I've been thinking about getting a small patch of velcro
and mounting the control flat, just forward and to the right
of the stick shift.  That way it will be available, visible, but
won't catch on anything.

Have any of you come up with an more elegant solution?

P.S. A factory slot was mounted just below the factory
radio/tape player on my '92 miata, so unless mazda
changed the height of the radio or console area, they
ought to be able to provide you with a similar slot for
your car.
