I got replacements from one of the two local Mazda dealers.  I'd have to find
the part number at home, but I *can* remember the price:  a modest $12.35 per
fastener!  (Where is this dealer is making money?  When I wanted to replace
the two fan belts, one for the alternator and the other for the A/C compressor
& P/S pump, they wanted something like $50 (yes, fifty dollars US) for the
pair.  I found equivalent belts for ~$20 at the 'expensive' parts store that I
used to frequent when driving an MG.)  The replacements fasteners *are* the
correct ones for the tonneau:  larger (on the outside) than those on the boot,
and with a black anodized finish rather than chrome.  If anyone can find these
puppies at a cost less than $12, please post to the list.

     I've been trying unsuccessfully to mail you for about a week.  This
     machine (voyager.austin.ibm.com) recognizes your gateway
     (enet-gw.pa.dec.com) but cannot successfully ping it.  It altogether does
     not recognize your host (pravda.enet.dec.com).  If you know more about
     the niceties of bang paths and roll-your-own mail routing than I (which
     isn't much!) then let me know how to send mail your way.
