Hello all, I have a '92 Silver (lucky me!) Miata with about 30000 km on it (I sat down and worked it out - it's driven an average of 170 km a day; it's a disease, I'll admit it). I had an MGB with I was a teenager and this car picks up where the MG left off. I also have the hardtop with rear window defog. With everything body-color (including the alloy wheels) it looks pretty classy. I have a disconcerting symptom that developed over the weekend. When the clutch is depressed just at/before the point of resistance there is a squeal reminiscent of disc brake noise coming from underneath. I checked the free-play myself and it exceeds the spec in the manual by only 9mm. Is this enough to cause this behavior? I'm also not crazy about the power antenna on my beast. Whenever the temperature is below 15 C (60 F), the unit is often unable to pull the last segment down. The dealer has had two opportunities to repair it (but both on 24 C days!?!). It's going in to the dealer on Friday to address both problems. Any previous experience or suggestions would be appreciated before I take it in. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ward Rosin Senior Systems Operator "In Stereo (where available)" ACTC Technologies Inc. #350 6715 8 Street NE Calgary Alberta CANADA
