Interesting question.  I do my own oil changes, and to do it neatly (I don't
like oil dripping down the side of the block and all over the lower engine
shroud), it takes me about 20 minutes.  I have to remove the lower engine
shroud (i guess thats what you call that large peice of plastic under the
car around the engine) and the brace that supports the intake runner.  Anybody
else do this or is there an easier way to change the filter without spilling
oil all over?
