Well as long as we're comparing scars, here are mine :-) The rear window zipper started to tear away from the roof at the top left corner. I sewed it up with some fairly thin thread, and about two months later, it started to tear away from the window side of the same corner. I stitched that, and it's been ok for about a month. My brakes squeak, and have since day one. I took it in shortly after I bought the car, and they said "they were just dirty." Right. When I took it in for its 30k checkup a few months ago, they told me that Mazda had new, non-squeaking brakes that they were replacing under warranty, but they didn't have any in stock, so I didn't bother coming back to get them. My paint is being eaten away. (I've moaned about this here before.) Mazda says it's not their fault, even though I've never seen this happen to a car before. PermaPlate: Just Say No. Sometimes, when starting and stopping, there's a mysterious thunk from the left rear corner of the car. I thought at first it was something banging around in the trunk, but there's basically nothing in there, so I'm stumped. What concerns me is that my left rear suspension was replaced because of an accident I had about six months ago, so I hope it's not something slipping around down there. (The car handles fine.) The plastic panel on the dash buzzes like mad. Pressing on it will make it stop for a while. It looks like the glue holding the plastic on didn't take very well. I tried Duco cement, no luck. My passenger-side window vibrates. I haven't gotten around to taking the door apart yet to see if there's anything I can tighten up. -- Jamie
