Subject: That exhaust buzzing 3000-3500 rpm

I've noticed the exhaust buzzing (kind of high pitched ticking) on my 
'92 miata above 3000 rpm when the engine is cold, but I consider it 
more of a feature than a bug.  I read somewhere that you shouldn't rev 
your miata engine above 3000 rpm until the temp gauge is beyond the 
tick marks anyway.

The buzzing is kind of a reminder to me that I'm peeling out of our 
parking lot too quickly (it is a beautiful grand-prix style parking lot 
loop, be sure to try it out if you are ever in the puget sound area - 
beware the hairpin turn by building 10).
