My car exhibits the exhaust buzzing problem. It was in for a 30k service at an independent garage (PR Motorsports), and they told me an exhaust shield weld was cracked, and asked if it was buzzing. They seemed to know this problem, so it must be common. Mine wasn't buzzing then, but it sure does now. It buzzes the most when accelerating in 2nd gear at higher RPMs. It doesn't seem to be a function of temperature or humidity (we don't have humidity in California), but a function of the heaviness of my foot. The other problem I had was that one of the rear brake caliper was "frozen". The floating part of the caliper was frozen solid, so that only one brake pad was working (and getting worn down). The dealer "fixed" it under warranty, so that all the fluid drained out and the brakes failed within a week. They also conviently decided not to tell me that the pad was worn down so far that it should be replaced. They finally replaced the brake assembly (under warranty), but took four days, because they said there were no brake pads or calipers in inventory. No more business for that dealer. -gbeck > From miata-owner@jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu Thu Aug 27 11:15:43 1992 > Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1992 13:26:05 -0400 > From: aplcen!inde.bc.ca!gday@Eng (Gordon Day) > To: jhunix!miata@uunet.uu.net > Subject: Re: Factory Defects (was RE: suspension promblems) > > Jamie writes: > > % The plastic panel on the dash buzzes like mad.
