I talked to the president of the the Western PA Miata club because he
lives in my home town.  He said he couldn't even make it out of his
driveway when there was an inch of snow.  He bought a second car for the
winter and parked his Miata.  I do the same.  His girl friend had a similar
experience, but she was a diehard!  She bought snow tires and threw in a
85 lb bag of kitty litter.  She has prevailed.  Of course her trunk hasn't
any room left.
