Well, I had my spiffy new stock alloy wheels installed by the local Mazda dealer, with whom I'd never dealt before. Now I think this could've been a big mistake. First of all, they put a ding into 3 of the wheels when installing the valves. While small (~ 1/16"), the ding penetrated the lacquer. This seems mighty careless when you're dealing with $900. worth of wheels (MSRP). Today I looked closely at someone else's Miata, and saw that the balancing weights were mounted invisibly on the inside of the wheel. The local dealer clipped the weights right into the soft alloy on the outside rims of my wheels, where they're clearly visible (and the old mounting will be visible when the weights are moved to rebalance the wheel). Did the dealer screw up, or is this the way it's typically done? Thanks, Josh
