Valery, > Is this car really worth the 16K? That's really a subjective question, and one that you'd need to decide. I would guess that all of the people on this mailing list would say yes, but then, we have already made the commitment to pay that (or more). > I keep hearing that it is a death trap. Well, insofar as strapping yourself into a wierd contraption of metal and plastic and hurtling down bumpy pieces of ground towards within what amounts to inches from other wierd contraptions of metal and plastic (some of them coming *at* you!) amounts to a death trap, yes, it is. I, personally, have not heard of anything that makes me think that the Miata is any more or less a death-trap than any other small, topless sports car. (However, do not take my word as gospel. But, some people like making a quick buck by breaking their nose, or spilling hot tea on themselves, orPlease ignore Igor, folks, he tends to jump on a soapbox at a moments notice... Anyhow, I love my Miata, and I haven't heard anything that makes me worry about driving it. (Other than that convertibles are good targets for car- jackings..) I am willing to take the other risks inherent in driving a car as small and open as the Miata is for the pleasure of driving it... Anyways, where did you hear that the Miata is a death trap? (Maybe I ought to rethink my thunks...) Are ya gonna buy one? Huh? huh?
