I have owned various Japenese GTs prior to the Miata, and while they were all fun, they were so expensive that it took much of the fun out of the ownership for me. My 1991 Miata costs about the same to insure as my 1990 Maxima or my 1991 Previa. In my case it is less because I list the Miata as a pleasure vechile. Tires, even the highest performance versions available in stock size, cost less than good tires for my other cars, and about a third of what they cost for my GT category cars. Gas mileage is great, 22-26mpg. Hope that info helps. -- Dennis Ordiway 4675 Newport Beach, CA 92626 Systems Engineer Vmail: 8537 Silicon Graphics djo@sgi.com "If someone does a great job, say so.
