From: (none) Subject: Strut Shock Absorber Date: (none)
I recently noticed a noise from the front end (driver's side) when turning right and hitting a bump with the drivers side front tire. After I convinced the dealer that the problem existed (it took two attempts) they said that there is probably a problem with the strut shock absorber and possibly one of the bushings. They will replace the strut under waranty. Although the car only has 12,000 miles, I have not papmered the car and have driven the car as it was meant to be driven but have never abused it. The question I have is whether a new strut shock absorber should also be replaced on front end passenger's side as well since one will be new and the other used for 12,000 miles. Would any discrepency in the age of the two front struts be apparent in the way the car handles? Thanks, Herb Samuels
