Man, am I glad mine came with one (I also bought a used 1991). >It seems like it would be a pain to put it on and > take it off. After the aggravation of constantly futzing with the boot at every stop, I gave up and took a clue from the other 70 or so miatas that seem to work at the same place I do -- just put the top up if it looks like rain, or put the cover on if it looks sunny and the car is still clean. Here in sunny, drought-stricken California the two worst miata enemies are the hot, upholstery-fading sun, and the automatic sprinklers that ALWAYS soak my interior if I work late. Another reason to put up the top when you stop... Brad
