Ok, so I live in DC and commute to MD, and it was 'prolly 62F at max today, more like 50F when I drove to work and 55F on the way home. All the other miatas I saw to and fro (see yourself comin' and goin' 'round here -- at least 5 miatas each way...) had their tops RAISED. Am I crazy to ride top down this time of year (heat on pretty high, feet and face position)? I think it's a ton 'o fun. This is the first fall for me in a convertible, and I want to know if it wears off. Will I be top-down in late Oct. of next year? Does this mean I better get driving gloves for next month? (Thank you Mazda for letting you point the heater vents at your hands!) Is everyone listening still top down? Ok, not you warm climate types, you know who you are... Am I gonna *really* hate this car this winter? (I expect no more than 2 days where there is visible snow cover). I guess I haven't been paying real close attention to the snow tire debate, but I *do know* (after the last week anyway) that I can pick up steel wheels for a song... As a matter of fact, there're probably people out there looking for me to *take* their wheels so they don't have to mop the rust spots... So snows... For just a coupla days a year? I get my buddies to drive to skiing (if you can call it that when you start driving from DC...). So let's hear your story... By the way -- I heard that Al gore bought Tipper a miata! ;) -Marc Salit
