I catch a cold every year doing this ... and probably will again this year, because I can't help myself! > Does this mean I better get driving gloves for next month? Driving gloves are your best friend this time of year. By keeping your hands warm they not only make you more comfortable, but also maintain your grip on the steering wheel. When my hands get cold they get less "sticky." Not that my hands are normally sticky ... I'm sure you understand. Also if you're driving on a twisty mountain road your hands will be out of the line of the eyeball heater vents a lot of the time as you turn the wheel. If you're a computer hacker, make sure you get gloves that don't have elastic around the wrist ... can you say "carpal tunnel syndrome"? Besides, chances are you won't still have the top down a lot when it gets much colder. The heater works well, but everything has limits. Also, what about rain? -- Michael J.
