    My advice is don't replace it, unless you have some stronger
indication that it won't hold a charge.  I discharged mine completely
(by leaving the parking lights on) a year and a half ago.  I jump
started it, drove home, and have had no problems with it since then.

    By the way, I since installed a buzzer that prevents from making
the same mistake again.  It's called the Lite-Minder, costs < $4.00,
and is available at K-Mart.  I reccommend it without reservation.  It
takes less than 10 minutes to install (really), is completely
invisible, and it works like a charm.  No Miata owner should be
without it.
