Another possible solution is to remove the metal band on the ash tray, then you don't have to reverse the ash tray top and lose the cool green light on the forward end. That's what I did. When you do this you have a wonderful holder for sunglasses, a cup, loose receipts, or (with hard top) money. I've even heard of a guy who replaced the green plastic with red, put a battery in the ash tray, and wired it to a blinking device and the ash tray light bulb. Presto - a fakeo red blinking light to make it look like the car has an alarm. Don't you think there would be a market for a cellular car phone that fits exactly where the ash tray goes? MattSkew mattsq@microsoft.com P.S. I had a car once (pontiac 6000 STE) that had a digital bar graph for how much gas was left - each bar = 1 gallon. I didn't like it because the readings would always be +- 2 gallons, due to temperature or slope of the road. The low gas warning light was cool though.
