I'm in the Tejas Miata Club here in Austin, Texas and most of the
people in the club have bought cup holders that replace the top of
ashtray from Eric Fancher (75230.1445%COMPUSERVE.COM).  He makes
them in any finish you want.  He can match the wooden brake handles
and shifters in the BRG model and just about any other (even black to
match the plastic).  His work well and look very nice, though they 
don't hold anything much larger than a soda can, since the hole the 
ashtray fits is the limiting factor.
