I was just on the phone with Rod Bymaster (product mgr. for "sporty"
cars at Mazda) -- here's the latest scoop on the '94 Miata.

The 1.8 l engine will happen -- hp rating is still uncertain, but torque
will go up.

The car will get heavier (passenger side airbag + side intrusion bracing).

The standard alloys should go to 14x6.  A Torsen differential will replace
the VLSD unit.

Press cars will arrive in July time frame.  At your dealer as early as
mid-September.
