Will the Miata go the same way as the RX-7s (Although the new one seems to be a break of trend)? Why don't somebody put a sporty 2 liter engine in it. I think that's all thats needed. I don't understand the V-8 conversions (or even V-6). I guess that most people want something really meaty when they go through the trouble of changing an engine. It would be nice to hear if somebody has actually tried to implant a high reving 2L engine. Something with 160 -190 hp. I heard that Mazdasport is working on a replacement for their MFM unit. According to a representative it will be tested in the Januari issue of Motor Trend. They claim around 30 hp increase with the proper exhaust mods. Has somebody actually verified this. I find it hard to believe simple intake and exhaust modifications can make that much difference. Has anybody ever had a dyno test done? I asked them about camshafts but they claimed the original camshaft is aggressive enough. I kind of agree. One more question, where do I found an exhaust with beefier sound than the Millen exhaust? Preferably one with a stainless steel tip, like the original. Has any body tried the BBR exhaust components? /Michael
