Not for the headrest speakers on the '92 Miata. I guess that >anybody could buy any speaker to stuff in, but they would still need >the specific plug to connect them in to the stock radio. Probably could >get the plug either from Mazda or Crutchfield. I went to the dealer to see if I could get that connector for the back of the radio, and they could only sell the entire harness plus speakers ($199). No thank you. They checked to see who made the radio, (Panasonic), and called them to see if the connector was available. I could not even get it from them. That's when I simply back to the radio shop, and bought a bunch of the smallest spade plugs they had, (I needed 4), and just connected them to the back of the radio. They did not fit prefectly, and I was afraid that they may either short, or fall off. After a year and a half, they have done neither. As I recall, the total cost for 4 speakers, about 25 feet of wire, and the spade plugs was about $75. And about 1 evenings work. Tom Tkacik tkacik@hobbes.cs.gmr.com GM Research
