As you may have guessed by now that I hate the PS, I think it riuns the car, and yes, I have driven both PS and non-PS cars on the regular basis. A friend here is in the Miata restoration (from wrecked cars) business. As for steering effort, I have the exact set up of wheels you have. I am using the 15x7 Panasport with 195-50ZR15 Yoko A-509. I am 5'5", lazy, not particularly strong and I live in downtown Boston where parallel parking is the way of life. No problem at all what so ever with parking, the whole car is very light. I am sure the PS will require less effort for parking, but the steering feel and feedback you get from the manual steering far outweighs it. - Steve. 4) I noticed that black is available for 1993 as a standard color. Has anyone seen a black Miata with the 'normal' black interior and hood? The tan leather just dosen't quite do it for me. I have a budget of about $15K. I have looked at some base 1990 models for about 9K and a 'B' package 1991 with hardtop for $13,500. I have noticed quite a few leftover 1992 'A' package cars on lots that would probably just barely slip into my budget. I could probably wait another month and order a bare '93 model from a broker for about 16K. Any comments or advice on buying a 'pre-owned' vs. a new car? Realize that the less I spend, the more money I have for suspension bits and other goodies. Thanks! Brian Brian K.
