N.B.: this is illegal for Solo II stock class. The car must run at factory specs -- for the Miata (at least my year, a '91) 10+/-1 degree. A belated thanks, by the way, for supplying me with a copy of the hydraulic lash adjusters service bulletin. My dealer -- bless 'em; I got one of the good ones -- ordered the parts without blinking and will install them at my earliest convenience. They also replaced all my brake linings and turned my rotors for free when I complained of squeal and poor wet-weather perfor- mance. They've been wonderful, but then they know that as the only really competitive Miata in this region, I've got some influence with prospective customers. - Steve Bruun
