Getting back to the power steering argument: it's like when someonenewly enters the computer age. If they start with a Mac, they may like it, but a Mac seems like the long way around to someone with IBM experience. Yet Macs are powerful and useful, with some advantages. One problem with ps is that it can catch you off guard sometimes. When you get the revs up and the car is hardly moving, the steering boost backs off leaving you with less control or at least a startling ghange change, that is. Thanks, Ken Buck on the Clearwater feedback. Their prices seem *very* high, since I'm hard-pressed to find 6" speakers anywhere for those prices. Possibly purpose-engineered components vallidate the expense. re: carphones - we should take S. Meek's advice and leave them out of cars. The last thing I do need is to be rammed by someone with a brain tumor blackout which occured during the commute. On the up side, I could go grab their phone and make a quick call to my insurance agent after the accident...
