Yes, I have been experiencing that _very_ problem for a while.  I can't tell if the problem is more due to moisture or cold.  This is a '90 package A stereo by the way.  Yep, the radio seems to turn on for a flash and then turns off. Eventually (depending on it's mood or the heater)  it will stay on.  I have had  it cut out on me once it got going again - but not often.

We'll see what the dealer does.
