I have had a somewhat different problem. On a hot day, I'll stick
a tape in. It plays fine for about 15 minutes. Then, the left
speaker gets very quiet and the right speaker get very loud.
The sound is distorted as well.

This doesn't happen in the winter.

Has anyone else had this symptom?
