I'm curious, what roads did you take? I think Oregon has much more fun roads than Washington. My favorites are highway 34, philomath to newport (with a side trip up and down mary's peak), and a highway (242?) that is only open a few months out of the year, from sisters to (eventually) eugene. I took a weekend last year to drive the volcano chain from Sisters to Mt Baker in Washington, and had a great time. Whenever anybody in Oregon saw me zipping along in my red jellybean, they pulled over as soon as they could, often before I caught up with them. I remember one other fun stretch of road, headed north from the top of Mt Hood. One long straight steep downhill road with excellent visibility, and nobody on it (late sunday afternoon). I pink-lined the engine in 5th gear (120 mph!), but I have no desire to do that again. Curves are much more fun. Matt "I wish I had my miata when I was still living in OR" Skew mattsq@microsoft.com
