Yes, I had this too.  The problem is actually that the clear piece of plastic
over the instruments is rubbing against the walls of the thing it's nominally
glued to -- the glue partially distintigrated.  A little epoxy around the rim
fixed it for me.  The whole thing comes out pretty easily.  (My problem was
also on the left side.)
