Does anybody have a steering related suspension problem?  I'll explain:

When moving slowly forwards or backwards with the wheels cranked far
over I there is a noticable movement in the front end.  The feeling is
as though one (both?) the front wheels free to move slightly in a
direction that it shouldn't be able to e.g. as though a ball joint had
slack in it.  I have taken it to my pathetic dealer (and had a Mazda
rep check it out) but to no avail.  The checked out the rack and tie
rod ends and said that they were ok.  They then kindly told me that
"that was the way it should feel" (grrr).  Has anybody had this
problem?  If not, how does one check out a suspension for a problem
that probably only occurs when weight of the car is on it?
