That's what I understand. Same with the 90 and 91s. BUT, the security system can be disabled. They actually come from the factory this way. If the previous owner never activated it, or has deactivated it, you are OK. If he left it activated, the only way to get it working again is to get ahold of the previous owner and get his password (yes, you only get 3 trys). This is assuming the power has been disconnected from the radio. ---JCG.
