I've heard that German auto factory workers get a real kick out seeing a car with that name, 'cause when they see some assembly go by that has "F-I-A-T" chaulked on it, they know that assembly has been judged to have "Failure In All Parts." (I think "Teile" is German for "parts;" the other three words sound very similar to English.) Seriously, though, the 124 Sport was a nice little car, and couldn't have been worse for maintenance than contemporary British cars. In a recent Moss Motors catalog, one of the employees opines that what makes owning an old British car so special is that "it's nice to have a car that *needs you*." No argument here. >8^) _________________________________________________________________ James Miller -- developing Unix software at (!)
