Hello.... Well, I was welcomed home last night to see a box on my door step from the UPS man .. It was the stuff i had ordered from Rod Millen. Anyway .. I had promised ya'll a critique of the installation & performance. The unit is very well constructed and it appears to be a K&N unit with only a few nuts, bolts, brackets and adapter from Millen .. I know Millen is making a BUNDLE on this .. I see very little "research" cost in the intake. BUT .. I am glad that i have one...!!!!!!!! (;^) The directions and installation are VERY clear and well writtn. It took me about and hour, from start to finish .. and much of that time was spent looking for tools (;^)... you only need: 10mm, 12mm sockets.. 6-8" extention & ratchet phillips head screw driver and one allen wrentch .,, i forget the size and a 10mm wrench i think that is it .... I could do another car in 20 mins .. with tools in hand. ================ performance .. well... what do you expect .,.. the car IS more responsive .. quite noticable at any RPM over 4K it is louder..!!!! deep throaty growl (;^))))))) I am probubly getting the most out of the setup because i also have the Millen headers & the HKS exhaust ... I know the car is quicker .. but i am not one to do all that 0-60 stufff.. I launch at about 5K rpm when i am auto-xing .. so i will be right in the range to get the most out of it .. I have my first event of the season, this sunday .. so .. let's see how well it goes .. ==================================== All in ALL.. I am very pleased with it !!!! the funny part is ... since i run my car in CSP... my garage is filling up with more and more stock Mazda parts anyway .. you can write to me direct... if you have any questions .. see ya James D.
