I'd be cautious about heating just that one spot because it might just make matters worse by stretching or making a "bubble." My old Fiat 124 didn't have a zipper. Whats next? Well, I almost did the minor dent in the trunk thing Sunday afternoon, but recognized its approach from past experience just in time to avoid it.
