I also have some small scratches on the paint.  It was done when the
dealer preped the car and I didn't notice it when I picked up the car
since it was cloudy outside. It is more easily noticed in the sun and
with darker colors: black>>blue=red>>white.  Don't worry about it.
You get used to it.  However, you should be sure that you don't make
it worse by washing the care carefully and by avoiding abrasive waxes
that may worsen the finish.  The spring issue of Miata Magazine
usually has a section devoted to spring cleanup.

Also, I would be interested in any advice in eliminating the small
crease in the plastic window.  I have a small one in the center which
was probably caused by the dealer.
