One thing that also works well is to fully raise the passenger window
and completely or almost completely lower the driver side window. 
This a tip that was published several years ago in miata Magazine and
markedly lowers the wind buffing on the driver's side.  This, however,
does not help the pasenger side but workd well if you are the only
one in the car.
