OK, all you southerners gloating in yer' warmth - I am definitely jealous! It actually got into the upper 40's (maybe even 50's) today. I washed the car and even had the top down. My saying around here is "if it's above 40, the top is down!" I, too, can vouch for the efficiency of the heater (even to the point where it is -20 with the windchill and driving 70 mph). It does work quite well in Wisconsin. About those people who drive on warm, sunny days with the top up - I agree, buy another car if you can't enjoy the roadster as it's meant to be! I was in Atlanta in August and saw *several* Miatas with the tops up! Similar occurances have happened in NC. Those are the kind of people who don't know about THE CLUB. I think it is our duty to inform these people about the joys of having the wind blow through our hair! BTW, we *still* have snow on the ground. :-( Luckily, it's now just small patches. With my luck, we'll get more soon! ;-) On to something real. As I was washing my car, I looked under the hood and noticed that my master cylinder was leaking (again). I had this problem several months ago and had the M/C replaced. Three months later, it's up to its old tricks again. Has anyone else had this (or a similar) problem? I have a 92b with ABS, 5spd, lsd, & a/c. The leak occurs at the grommets/gaskets between the reservoir and cylinder. The brakes still work, but they get soft when holding the pedal down. So far the fluid has worn the paint off the booster and is starting to damage the paint in the engine compartment. The dealer didn't seem sympathetic to my plea for fixing the paint problems. This time I will make certain they understand that they should be responsible for the paint. Thoughts, comments, questions? -amp-
