Just some miscellaneous ramblings... Re: those who keep their top up during fine weather Although it hasn't really been all nice days here, I decided that I *had* to at least put the hardtop in storage when, on a particularly gorgeous morning, a topless Capri owner waved at me (the car was topless, not the driver, gutterbrains... :^) with a smile... :^P I try to keep the top down most of the summer, only putting it up when it rains. A few times, I've managed to get too much of a good thing and had to put the top up before I started blistering... An August trip from RI to MD can do that to yah... I didn't ever think the white band across my chest would disappear... :^) Re: car covers I've tried to consistantly use a car-cover since I've bought my Miata. Anytime I expect to leave my car cover outside in the daylight for extended periods of time, I've put it on. (Expecially when the top was down.) Reasons range from avoidance of bird-droppings to sun-fading. Some think I'm a bit odd for it, but I suspect my car will last longer than others... The only bad part is trying to put on the cover after a fresh wax job. It just doesn't want to do what I want it to do. -- John William Keating, III | Not affiliated with those other guys.... -+=< Software Engineer >=+- +----------------------------------------- -+=< Cray Communications, Inc. >=+ | If you do something stupid after reading keating%casemo@mimsy.cs.umd.edu | this message, it is your own fault, not 73737.733@compuserve.com | mine nor the company I work for. -me- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's easier to get forgiveness for being wrong than forgiveness for being right.
