In response to Mr. Shine's comment "you wouldn't drive with the top down in -10 degree and cloudy weather (or similar statement)," on occasion -10 is a heat wave in WI. I have considered it! :-D The people up here still gawk when I have the top down in 40 degree weather. To appease your fears that we're out to make everyone drive with the top down, I make my comments only in fun. There are times when, I too, drive with the top up on perfectly nice days (driving acroos the country with a car full of stuff that would blow away otherwise). I still laugh when I think of some kids I saw in Fargo, ND some years ago. They were cruising the main strip in convertibles and short sleeves when the temp was about 10 degrees. To a group of people from the southeast US, these people were nuts! Whatever, to each their own. As long as people enjoy the Miata experience. That's what really counts, right? -amp-
