It has been there for about three years and I've never even had to top off the fluid. Re: car covers I use one of those cabin covers with the straps and such and I love it. I can install and remove it faster than I can raise the top, especially if the wind is blowing the right direction. I figure it's better for the top, too, since there is probably a limit to the number of times the top can be raised or lowered before wearing out. It also allows wind to keep the interior cool in the sun, unlike making a "greenhouse" by putting the top up. My cover (I call it a "tent") is developing some wear spots and has torn around the trunk strap so I'll probably replace it soon. Definitely worth the $50 or whatever. -- Michael J.
