I can't vouch for the others, but I keep Redline MTL in my diff, and am pretty religious about changing/maintaining the oil in all my cars. I saw Paul's car break the diff, it was at an autocross practice, late in the day during a decreasing radius turn on the 4th or 6th run in a row. I would guess it was the heat/harsh environment. Basically, the stock diff is not up to snuff for a racing application diff, and frankly, the a 25% limitation, its really not much of a LSD either. (for the uninformed, 25% limitation means that only 25% of the slop between the wheels is taken out by the diff. A welded diff would be 100% limitation. Most good racing diffs are closer to the 70-80% range) -- Miq Millman miq@wv.mentorg.com miq_millman@rainbow.mentorg.com Mentor Graphics 8005 Boeckman Rd, Wilsonville OR 97070 503 685 1492 C2148
