Subject: Moving to Arizona

I am moving to Arizona next week and will be taking my Miata with me.
(What else would I do with it? :-)  Can anybody tell me if there is any
special car care that I can do while living in the desert (like how
to prevent the top and interior from baking?)  I will try to contact the
local Miata club when I get there, but is it active?  Is it a good club?
I already have a couple of phone numbers for autocrossing, and am looking
forward to that.

Are there any special things I should know or do, or great places to drive to?
(Do not worry, the top will stay down. :-)
