In response to Ken Buck: My 2 cents. I have seen the Mazda part for about $14 at the dealer, not bad. Kind of bulky but it completely replaces the ash tray so you can swap the two pieces out. There is an insert that lies in the hole below the Mazda insert thus it is flat. This is certainly the cheapest and probably the way you may want to go. BTW, I make stained oak and black dyed oak replacements for the top of the ash tray. No drilling, uses the ash tray top screws. I realize the base is not flat but it does not bother me. If anyone is interested, I sell them for $25.00. The black is a flat finish and the stained oaks are high gloss. If you have a Black or Green car, I have a match for the brake handle wood. I have had a real good response and sold about 60 locally to club members and a bunch to Roger Beasly Mazda. If any one wants one, send me a private message. There are a couple of people on this list that have these holders and can vouch for me. Please pardon the self promotion. Eric Fancher Tejas Miatas Austin, Texas
