Well, I took the plunge and bought a miata. I'm now the proud owner of a red 93 miata (two-weeks old and I've got 800 miles on it already). I'd like to say thanks to all the people on the list who helped me out with advice. So far the car has been great. For my first question, I'd like to know what people think about the factory service manuals. Helms quotes $50 for the loose-leaf "Workshop Manual" and $21 for the "Wiring Manual." Are they well done and worth the money? I'd like to install an alarm and tend to do general maintenance myself, so I'm thinking of getting both. And are they available cheaper elsewhere? cheers, --mike P.S. Out of the 800 miles, probably 700 where driven with the top down. I knew there had to be some good reasons for living in Los Angeles.
