I installed a trailer hitch bought through Monarch Mazda in Denver, Co.  It 
mounts on the same frame rails as the rear tie down hooks.  There was no 
drilling, cutting or welding required.  I took a couple of extra steps and cut
the tongue off and welded up a receiver box.  I got tired of banging my shin 
every time I washed the car!  I built a 48x48 trailer to carry extra stuff and
also to carry race wheels and tires to auto crosses.  Look for me at the June 
6 Spokes event at the Austin Police academy, I'll be in the BRG CS-192.

>3) Splitfire plugs - the consenus on rec.autos was that they do

Go with the splitfires, I picked up at least a mile per gallon and felt some 
kick in performance althoughthis is questionable and not documented on my 
part.  A while back the Miata Magazine had an article on plugs and their 
concensus was to avoid the platinums because the Miata engine fires each plug 
twice during the four cycles.  Also something about the grounding into the 
head and thus affecting the other cylinders.  I'll try to look up the article 
again.  Before I read this, I had platinums in my 90 and did not experience 
any problems.  The Miata mag article did not say that running platinums would 
cause any problems, just that they would not help.

>4) Were headrest speakers standard on 91 A packages? I hear
   they weren't on 90's. The fader for my hr.sp does not work -
   known problem? take it back to the dealer?

As I remember, only the "B" package had factory installed headrest speakers

No, it is a good source of information and entertainment.  Also a good source 
for new products and accessories for the car.
