My insurance company (CSAA) pays for windshield repairs, but replacement is a $100 deductible. I've had one repair, and I'm about to go for a replacement after getting a stone chip in my main field of vision. $100 seems like a good deal, because the windshield is getting quite marked up, and tends to "sparkle" a lot when driving into the sun in the late afternoon. When I checked with the dealer for a price, they quoted me about $400 for a new windshield... Also, the insurance company recommends a mobile glass company (King Glass, probably not a national company) that will come to my office to do the work - pretty handy. -- -- Paul Jasper -- RATIONAL -- Object-Oriented Products --
