Nope, never driven one.  However, out of the dozen or so Miatas that  
were on the lot when I bought my car (2.5 weeks ago), three were  
automatics.  Apparently, somebody is buying them that way, although I  
can't imagine why.  These people should get (and deserve) a Dodge  
Shadow convertible, IMHO. :-)
