I do not know about the rubber trim pieces, but I also found the foam blocks.
They came from the boot that covers the top when it is down.  I have saved
them, but do not know what kind of glue to use to put them back on.
There is are light stains on the inside of the boot showing where
they should be placed.  They do not seem to be very important, so I would
not worry about them.  But do not loose them, you may want to fix it
some day.
